The NAJAS/KKC Business Speaker Series titled “The Transformation of Entertainment: Now Everybody Can Cook” was held in cooperation with the Japan-America Society of Northern California as a virtual event. The speakers were Mr. Ludovic Copere, Senior Investment Director of Sony Ventures, Mr. Joseph Tou, Vice President of Corporate Development at Sony Corporation of America, and Mr. Teppei Tsutusi, Founder & Managing Partner of GFR Fund.

Mr. Ludovic Copere made a presentation on the Sony Investment Fund and its activities, focus areas, and the partnerships it helps create. He also presented the technology surrounding the game creator economy such as those that increase user engagement, connect creators and fans, streamline consumer payments, and increase security and trust for consumers.

Mr. Joseph Tou introduced the various ways large and small creators used technology to produce virtual shows and spaces to serve their community. Mr. Tsutui spoke about the growing gaming market and the increased quality of technology in hardware. He also talked about the communities built around games on platforms such as YouTube and Twitch.
