The Business Speaker Series was held at the Union League Club of Chicago on March 25, 2017 in cooperation with the Japan America Society of Chicago.

Mr. Edward A. Grant, former President, Japan America Society of Chicago, welcomed guests and introduced Hon. Naoki Ito, Consul-General of Japan in Chicago for brief remarks.

Mr. Tobias Harris, Vice President, Japan, Teneo Intelligence gave an insightful presentation on the opportunities and challenges for the U.S.-Japan economic relationship under the Trump administration. Ms. Josina Morita, Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Commissioner, followed with a presentation on the district’s efforts in resource recovery in Cook County.

Mr. Kazuo Sako, President & CEO, TOTO Americas Holdings & TOTO USA, Inc. gave a presentation under the theme “Japanese Products in American Homes: TOTO’s Corporate Strategy in the U.S.”. He explained how TOTO markets their products to an American audience, and highlighted their conservation efforts and future products.
