Research KKC Business Delegation to Study Innovation and Start-up Companies

Keizai Koho Center organized a delegation to Boston and the Research Triangle of North Carolina to study innovation and to further enhance U.S.-Japan industry-academia partnerships. The delegates attended the MIT Startup Ecosystem Conference where twenty-five start-up companies presented their cutting-edge technologies. In North Carolina, they visited Duke University and observed laboratories, startups and incubators and discussed the current situation of innovation in Japan and the U.S.


Japanese Business Delegation to Boston and Pittsburg 2018

Keizai Koho Center organized a delegation of corporate members to visit U.S. start-up companies and research institutions. They visited 22 high tech companies in Boston and Pittsburg, including Top Flight Technologies, Desktop Metal, Ginko Bioworks, Ambri, Google and Uber. The delegates also attended the MIT Startup Ecosystem Conference where they exchanged information with 16 start-up companies. At Carnegie Mellon University, they learned about the latest research and developments in cyber security, artificial intelligence, automatic driving and robotics and discussed possibilities of future collaboration.


Japanese Business Delegation to Boston and Silicon Valley 2017

Keizai Koho Center sent a business delegation to research institutions and high-tech startups in Boston and Silicon Valley. The delegation, composed of major Japanese companies such as Hitachi, JX Nippon Mining & Metals, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and Shimadzu, visited 14 high-tech startups which are trying to commercialize their technologies such as 3D printing and artificial intelligence (AI). The delegation also visited the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University to learn about their state-of-the-art research activities and to discuss the innovation eco-system in the U.S.
