Seminar Global Trends and U.S.-China Relations

Keizai Koho Center (KKC) held a meeting with Dr. Akio Takahara, Special Visiting Professor of Tokyo Women’s Christian University.

Professor Takahara presented his views on China’s perspectives on the international order and the mid-to-long term challenges, outlining China’s strategy to stabilize relations with the U.S. while actively engaging Russia, middle powers, and the Global South. He also explained the background of China’s strong reaction to Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s Diet statements in the fall of 2025 and the future prospects of Japan-China relations.

Following the presentation, a lively exchange of views took place, with a total of 58 participants attending the session.
