Keizai Koho Center held an online symposium about the relationship between Japan and ASEAN in post-COVID-19. At the symposium, Mr. Azman Ujang, former Chairman of BERNAMA, the Malaysian national news agency, Mr. Walter Sim, Tokyo Correspondent of The Straits Times (Singapore Press Holdings) and Mr. Masataka Fujita, Secretary General of ASEAN-JAPAN CENTRE shared their views on their respective COVID-19 situations and the possible role of Japan. They also discussed the influence of the US presidential election and the transformation of the global value chain. They concluded that the relationship between ASEAN and Japan should be promoted through further cooperation even in a difficult period.
