Keizai Koho Center invited Amb. Kanji Yamanouchi, Consul General of Japan in New York, to speak in an online meeting. He explained that the expectations and trust towards Japan in Washington, D.C. is growing, as a result of the premise that China is a challenge for the U.S in terms of its economy, security, and ideology. He also stated that the future of Japanese companies is bright because of their performance in intellectual properties, patents, and advanced technologies, emphasizing the fact that Japanese cities and regions are evaluated as intellectual property clusters. On the other hand, he mentioned that Japan needs the ability to deliver messages of the government as well as the business and opinion leaders through creating a framework to promote Japan’s position more effectively to the world.
