Professor Hugh Whittaker of the Nissan Institute of Japanese Studies, University of Oxford, was invited to explain the social, economic and historical background of what drove the U.K. to Brexit, as seen from an economic expert based on the epicenter. He also shared his views on the further hurdles that the U.K. will face and the way forward in rebuilding relations with East Asia, including Japan.
